Léa has often collaborated with TKNL - experience maker - as an invited exhibition and product designer. She happily participated in the design process on major exhibitions and together with the agency’s team ensured that workflow between design and production was always smooth. Amongst the many projects she participated on, her favorite is the remodel of the permanent exhibition “EXPLORE” at the Science Center in Montreal. As a child she often visited this exhibition and as such it was an honor to be able to revisit and to reactualize this massive and fun packed experience for the next generation of children to fall in love with science.
Explore, la science en grand
EXPLORE, la nouvelle exposition permanente du Centre des sciences de Montréal (CSM), c’est plus de 50 démonstrations scientifiques en format géant dans un univers complètement éclaté. Un tunnel-kaléidoscope côtoie un robot qui danse, un parc d’éolienne à assembler, des fleurs de ferrofluide ou encore une rivière à façonner, tous rassemblés par un design qui crée l’émerveillement, nourrit la curiosité des jeunes (et des moins jeunes) et engage les visiteurs dans l’exploration des grands principes scientifiques et technologiques. L’affordance, la ludification des apprentissages et le développement des compétences du 21e siècle ont guidé la création de cet espace qui permettra à des générations de visiteurs de vivre la science en grand.
The project won Gold certification in the interior design category at 14th edition of Grand prix du design (CAN).
